Steve Schramm was born in Hamilton, raised in Cincinnati, Ohio, educated in both the catholic (Our Lady of the Rosary) and public school (Greenhills High School) systems, achieved the rank of Eagle Scout, and graduated from Bowling Green State University in 1980 with a Bachelors Degree in Construction Technology. He married his high school sweetheart, Loren.With an overwhelming desire to run his own company, in 1987 he along with his wife, Loren, in a spare bedroom of their home, started OK Interiors Corporation. Together in 28 years, they took an 8 person, $400,000.00 start-up business to one of Southwest Ohio’s largest commercial interior contracting companies with over 200 employees and $27,000,000.00 in sales.
Along with raising three children, Nikki, 35, who is married and lives in West Chester OH, Corey and Ryan, 31 year old twin boys, both with careers in nursing. Steve has been active in his church, is an avid golfer, played and coached soccer for over 30 years and officiated swim meets for 10 years. Steve currently serves as the Chairman of the Board for the National Federation of Independent Businesses. Mr. Schramm actively supports solid conservative values, is a consummate advocate of small business and even smaller government. Steve was instrumental in helping the City of Cincinnati with legislation to register all contractors seeking work in the city and remains active in the political and civic arenas at the local, state and national level.
